A FANTASTIC WEEK of county cup competition at Roehampton saw Yorkshire’s women finish top of Group 2 with five wins out of five, securing promotion back into the top flight of county tennis for 2027. It was a great team performance that delivered wins five wins out of five against Kent, Lancashire, West of Scotland, Buckinghamshire and Somerset. The result is the latest in a series of strong performances for Yorkshire as we head towards the finale of the 2026 County Cup race when the 12&U boys and girls play in September.
Yorkshire Tennis & Padel Limited is a not-for-profit organisation working in partnership with the LTA, the governing body for tennis and padel in the UK. Our aim is to work together with coaches, players, officials, venues and parents to increase participation, improve facilities and raise playing standards across the county.
Pupils from schools across Mirfield and the surrounding area enjoyed a brilliant day of tennis at the 2026 Mirfield Schools Tennis Festival. Organised by Coach ‘Tee’ Tawona Moyo, the programme is funded through the Redmayne Bentley and Yorkshire Tennis & Padel community engagement fund, helping to identify and support young players with county‑level potential.
