NIC Yorkshire County Tennis Championships

LESS THAN A WEEK to go now before the county’s up and coming tennis players go head to head at the NIC Yorkshire County Tennis Championships, taking place on the courts of the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds. Put the dates in your diary and ramp up the practice sessions.
 
Dave Kitchen will once again be presiding as tournament referee and players are limited to entering two junior singles events. These must be consecutive age groups (eg 12&U and 14&U or 14&U and 16&U, not 12&U and 16&U). Players may enter adult events as well as junior events but please note that may require you to play more than two singles matches per day. Every attempt will be made to complete the doubles events in a single day. However, depending on draw sizes, this may not be possible and the events may conclude on another day. Please note there will be a compulsory consolation event for each junior singles age group.

l  FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST: Wheelchair, VI, Men’s Singles (from 5.30pm)

l  SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST: 9&U Boys, Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles starts

l  SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST: 9&U Girls, 11&U, Men’s and Women’s Doubles starts

l  MONDAY 24TH AUGUST: 11&U, 14&U, 18&U, Open Mixed Doubles starts

l  TUESDAY 25TH AUGUST: 11&U, 14&U, 18&U, 11&U / 14&U / 18&U Doubles,

l  WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST:16&U, 11&U/14&U/18&U Mixed Doubles,

l  THURSDAY 27TH AUGUST: 10&U, 12&U, 16&U, Men’s/Women’s Singles

l  FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST: 10&U, 12&U, 16&U, 12&U / 16&U Doubles, Men’s Singles

l  SATURDAY 29TH AUGUST: 8&U, 12&U, 10&U Doubles, plus any remaining matches

l  SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST: Singles Finals (10&U-Open), Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles
